Birdie, Yeah, I've always skipped school on their b-days, but am now submitting to the majority's wishes that we also skip school on MY b-day, which is, of course, fun for me!

Yes, we also have a special, fave dinner, chosen by the birthday-ee. Nathan usually has me make chicken-pot pie for him, and Tabitha likes spinach manicotti. Good times! Happy Birthday to your (big) little girl!

Happy (belated) birthday!

That is too funny! We often skip school on birthday here, but I don't feel guilty since we usually homeschool year round. ;)

hahahahahaha!! That is TOO funny!

Birthday traditions: birthday person gets whatever kind of cake they want ... they also get to choose whatever they want us all to eat for dinner that night ... and we get to do what they want (within reason, of course) -- games, go to the park, play outside, watch movies, etc.

Our oldest is turning 6yrs old on the 30th! It'll be interesting to see what her picks are for this year! We're also going to let her stay up as late as she'd like so long as she's good ... ... ... I just hope she's ready for bed at least a little bit before we are LOL
