gold

"We have gold because we cannot trust governments…Paper money is a great aid to politicians: it makes it possible for them to confiscate the savings of the people by manipulation of inflation and deflation".

- President Herbert Hoover

The citizens of this country, of course, are not free to hold, to buy, or to sell gold.[1] If they were allowed to do so, they certainly would.

No international agreements, no diplomats, and no supernational bureaucracies are needed in order to restore sound monetary conditions. If a country adopts a non-inflationary policy and clings to it, then the condition required for the return to gold is already present. The return to gold does not depend on the fulfillment of some material condition. It is an ideological problem. It presupposes only one thing: the abandonment of the illusion that increasing the quantity of money creates prosperity.

The excellence of the gold standard is to be seen in the fact that it makes the monetary unit's purchasing power independent of the arbitrary and vacillating policies of governments, political parties, and pressure groups. Historical experience, especially in the last decades, has clearly shown the evils inherent in a national currency system that lacks this independence.

Reprinted from The Freeman, July 13, 1953.

"History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible, to maintain their control over governments, by controlling money and its issuance."

-James Madison

I like this post…I don’t think anyone ever contemplates the fact that our paper money is as good as Monopoly money. They are debt notes and have no real value. They are even talking about making the Amero…kind of like the Euro…to break North Americans in to accepting a one world currency…hmmm…so hold on to your gold teeth. :)

They don’t make it like they used to. I just watched a new movie called America: Freedom to Fascism and among the alarming revelations therein was some information on our money and our gold . . . money is not very trustworthy right now!

Thanks all for visiting, and for your comments!

    Carla~
My hubby sure contemplates it, but no, most people certainly don’t! LOL He gets my head spinning when he talks about this and other geopolitical stuff he keeps up with. It’s sure enough to make ya hot under the collar once you do start realizing just how dictatorial-minded (is that a word?) our govt. aka. the PTB, really are.

Yeah, I’d just run across something about the Amero in my reading last week or so. The times… they are a’changin’ at an accelerated rate. Hold on to your hat too! WND’s entire last mag publication is devoted to this concept of “how the Federal Reserve defrauds Americans”, should be interesting.

So, how’d I know that you’d know about this anyways? just figures!
It truly is a joy to run into like-minded peoples in this here blogosphere, pleasure my dear.

    Adamaria~
I just looked up the website, looks interesting and good, right up my hubby’s alley for sure! Thanks for mentioning it, the truth ’tis alarming for sure!

Hey, YEP! I just mentioned the movie to my hubby, and he knows all about it, says it’s great and is telling the truth, slamming those who’d rather we the “sheeple” didn’t know it. :) I thought he might know of it. It’s on his wishlist.
